Our Mission

Sikhi.io exists to make the wisdom of the Sikh Gurus accessible to every human, in every language, on every device, forever.

The Gurus did not write for one community. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the only world scripture composed by the founders of multiple faith traditions side by side — Hindu bhagats, Muslim sufis, low-caste weavers, butchers and barbers — all bound together by a single insight: the One Light that lives in every heart, regardless of name or path.

ਏਕੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਏਕਸ ਕੇ ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ॥

"One Father — and we are all His children."

Our work is to preserve that universal teaching against decay, distortion and digital silos — and to put it back into the hands of the Sangat and the world. That means:

• ◆Scripture, translated. Every verse of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Sri Dasam Granth and Sri Sarbloh Granth in 113 languages, with native voice and per-line synchronisation.
• ◆History, preserved. Thousands of historic texts, photographs, and oral histories digitised, OCR'd and indexed — including 32 newly added genealogical works from Griffin to Bansavalinama.
• ◆Heritage, taught. A free Punjabi school, 36,000-term Gurbani glossary, 16,000-entry Punjabi-English dictionary, surname trees back to the Sun and Moon dynasties, and the world's largest Sikh art gallery.
• ◆Sangat, connected. A Digital Darbar where Sikhs anywhere can take part in seva, kirtan and learning — without algorithms shaping faith for profit.
• ◆Truth, defended. Apologetics, surname-lineage research, scholarly citations and primary sources — so Sikhi is understood for what the Gurus actually said, not what others have said about it.

We are non-profit, ad-free, open source, and answerable to nobody but the Sangat. The Gurus gave their bodies, their sons, and their lives so that no human — of any faith, anywhere — would be denied freedom of belief, freedom of thought, freedom of conscience.

That work isn't finished. We continue it here, in code.
